About our Conferences
BHR Group’s conference team organise internationally respected technical conferences and symposia which attract expert speakers, delegates, exhibitors and sponsors from around the globe.
Our conferences appeal to a mix of academics and industrial practitioners. For academics, our conferences provide an opportunity to demonstrate their expertise and attract industrial sponsors to their research. For the industrial practitioners our conferences offer a chance to keep in touch with emerging solutions, engineering tools, practices and methods.
We aim to add value to the conference experience by creating opportunities for networking including gala dinners and drinks receptions; here delegates can learn from each other’s experiences in a friendly and supportive environment.

'As a major sponsor and exhibitor at the 20th International Hydrotransport Conference held in Melbourne, Australia in May 2017, I was impressed with the organisation and attention to detail displayed by Georgia and the team at BHR. Leading up to the show, the communication was regular and informative and Georgia was always quick to respond to our (sometimes demanding) requests. The three-day conference was a great success by all measures – from the quality of the technical papers to the conference facilities, the exhibition and the gala dinner; it could not have been achieved without careful planning, hard work and a talented professional conference organiser.'
Stuart Upton, National Marketing Manager, Beaver Group of Companies
'I have attended countless waterjet conferences over the years but this is the first time I have attended the Waterjetting Conference which was in Seattle.
What impressed me was the wide range of subjects covered, the quality and knowledge of the presenters and the overall organization and structure of the event. It was easy to follow and obvious thought had been put into every aspect to ensure a rewarding and enlightening experience. Although many of us were competitors, there was a comradeship amongst the whole group that was special and encouraging.
Great job to the whole team. A very enjoyable conference from beginning to end.'
Richard Ward, President, WARDJet Inc
'For a first time attendee to the Water Jetting conferences, the 23rd International Conference on Water Jetting 2016, covered a diverse group of topics. Ranging from cutting techniques, surface treatments, exploration into cavitation, as well exploring new ways to apply water jetting technology into other fields. Information was useful across multiple sectors.
As a MSc student, my purpose was to present research on treatment applications. This conference showed many different avenues for job opportunities and research directions using water jetting technology, and is a great opportunity for students who want to understand, explore, and make contacts within the water jetting industry.'
David Kalliecharan, Dalhousie University MSc student
‘The BHR North America Multiphase 2016 Conference was a valuable addition to the 2016 events calendar. The conference comprises a fusion of both academic and industry-based multiphase projects that brings together technical leaders in the field - delivering compelling presentations, discussions and providing a positive networking environment. It encompasses the fundamentals of multiphase fluid mechanics and translates this into an applied perspective through case studies and industry experience. North America Multiphase is a must attend for technically-oriented multiphase researchers at all levels.’
David Millington, NEL
‘Attending the 23rd fluid sealing conference organised by BHR Group, my primary interest was the presentation on test method development for elastomeric seals used under low temperature conditions. I was pleased to come away from the two day event with a comprehensive insight into current research activity in technical areas of sealing that I am far less familiar with. There was ample opportunity to chat with industry peers and I would recommend this well organised and attended conference to anyone wanting to expand their knowledge of sealing.’
Philip Clarke, Element Materials Technology Ltd
‘This was the first occasion RAPRA has exhibited at this conference and even before it started, I was impressed by the pre-event organisation, publicity and marketing. A great deal of hard work goes into setting up and running any event, never mind one on the scale of the 2016 Fluid Sealing Conference.
All the efforts by the organising committee and the event management staff were evident and amply demonstrated by the high quality of the technical content presented by prestigious speakers and valuable business networking opportunities delivered over the two days.’
Steve Shaw, Executive Director, RAPRA
