CFD ENGINEER

BHR Group is a leading private Research and Consultancy company providing expert technical services to a wide range of industrial clients.  We specialise in fluid dynamics and mechanics, materials science, tribology and fluid physical and chemical behaviour of industrial processes from the nano to macro scales.  We provide our expertise through consultancy; research and testing services; physical and computational modelling; expert advice; specialist training and conferences; and product development and exploitation. Our aim is to provide new innovative or optimised designs, analytical models and operating methodologies from which cost-effective and sustainable industrial processes can be developed.  We work closely with our customers to understand their business needs, and develop and implement practical technical and business solutions.

We are currently looking for a Mechanical or Chemical Engineer with strong background and interest in CFD/FEA simulations.  Given the nature of our work, the successful candidate will be expected to work with a wide range of industrial processes and sectors including chemicals, pharmaceutical, renewable and conventional energy sources, water and wastewater, defence and aerospace.



Requirements:

  1. MSc or PhD in Engineering, or other numerical field with solid knowledge of fluid dynamics. 

  2. Proven experience in using mesh generation tools, commercial software ANSYS Fluent, Multiphysics and developing of UDFs.

  3. Exposure to at least two of the following areas of application:
          • Multiphase flows (two or three phase flows)
          • Implementation of chemical reaction models
          • Population balance models
          • Free surface flows
          • Combustion
          • Heat transfer
          • Dynamic mesh applications
          • Material properties and their tribological or lubrication behaviour

  4.  Written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English

  5. Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks/multiple projects simultaneously while working in a team of experienced professionals

 

Advantageous:

  1. Experience with OpenFOAM

  2. Programming skills preferably C++
