Fluid Power and Fluid Hydraulics

We have experience in complete system design, simulation and test, both in-house and in the field. Our expertise has enabled us to diversify into new and novel applications of water hydraulics and the use of other environmentally friendly fluids. We have specialised in the development of standards, product testing, contamination control, seals, noise and consultancy. As an independent test house we can accommodate many of the component and system test/qualification requirements.

Research and Testing

We provide independent and impartial expert advice  supported  by a hydraulics laboratory with a broad operating capability. We are proficient at designing and building  specialist test facilities if the project requirements cannot be met with our existing equipment.

We frequently test to recognised standards or qualification procedures and can offer  advice on the testing requirements as necessary.

Present research activities are in the areas of energy efficient water hydraulics and hard chrome replacement materials for the aerospace industry.

Design, Modelling and Product Development

We have  computer simulation and design packages to assist in product development and to complement our physical  testing capabilities.

We have developed specialist hydraulic equipment ranging from quiet valves for military applications to subsea  pressure intensifiers and have experience of  designing for extreme conditions and environments.
