Speakers at Multiphase 2006

Technical Scope

Process Intensification and Nanotechnology

With the theme of Green Chemistry, the conference presentations and papers will illustrate both the importance of change, the economic value of change and ways in which change is already flowing through a wide range of processes and products.

The programme illustrates the many applications for intensified processes and technologies through industrial presentations and industrially–related academic work. Authors and presenters have responded to the Technical Committee’s invitation to submit case studies that present learning experiences gained from solving actual problems and meeting new challenges.  These can be the most valuable contributions to a technical conference, stimulating ideas, discussion and networking opportunities.

While intensified processes are becoming more widespread, the opportunities for using nanoparticles and droplets are less understood by many businesses. Those industries and companies who have recognised the advantages the technology offers have make great strides in developing their business models. Our one-day section of the conference with its nanotechnology focus will hopefully demonstrate the opportunities available to those wishing to develop beyond intensified processes into this innovative area.

The programme comprises the following sections:

  • Opening Address
  • Keynote Sessions
  • Process Design
  • Reaction Engineering
  • Crystals
  • Rotating Equipment
  • Challenges
  • Particles
  • Modelling and Simulation
  • Diesel Processes
  • Case Studies
