TECHNICAL SCOPE
Pipeline Integrity Conference

Industry must face the challenges of ageing and poorly maintained pipeline infrastructures, extended lifetimes, new product transportation and changing operating approaches. To ensure their integrity, industry must be confident that the design, operation, inspection and maintenance of pipelines are fit for purpose.  Using skilled engineers, with relevant experience and the right tools, industry can meet the changing demands of pipeline companies, and address other industrial sectors where pipelines are an integral part of a process. Yet, as failures still occur and are increasing, we must identify the reasons and to act to prevent recurrences.

The Conference will include sessions with case studies throughout on;

  • Pipeline Integrity Planning and management
  •  Risk and Integrity
  •  Corrosion Protection
  •  In line Inspection - Above Ground
  •  In Line Inspection - Below Ground
  •  Rehabilitation and Novel Solutions
  •  External Inspection
  • NACE Workshop on Corrosion Protection
  • NACE Workshop on ISO 15156, Materials for use in H2S containing environments in gas & oil production

Technical Proceedings

A bound volume and CD of the papers presented at the Conference are included in the delegate fee.

NACE Workshops

Two workshops will be held as part of the Conference sessions, for anyone working with pipelines, to exchange essential information on specifications and standards for the industry.

The first on Corrosion Protection will be led by Ken Lax of Corroconsult, an accredited NACE 'Corrosion Expert' and the UK representative on the CEN committee preparing the European CP specifications.

The second Workshop on ISO 15156, Materials for use in H2S containing environments in gas & oil production, will be led by Chris Fowler of Bodycote International and Vice President designate of NACE.
