Qualification Testing

We maintain a number of open-access Test Facilities that are for hire to customers and that can be used independently or in conjunction with our Engineering Consultancy and Design and Modelling services.  We work with customers to develop a test programme that will deliver a tailored solution in a timely and cost effective way.  Our independence means that we provide impartial results for a qualification or accreditation programme.

We also design and build specialist test rigs for customers that we can maintain on their behalf in our labs or that can be installed on their site.

What We Do 

Our test rigs can be designed to simulate many physical and chemical environmental conditions and make suitable measurements including:
 

• Liquid, gas and liquid / gas flows in pipes and components
• Flow measurements including pressure loss, friction, turbulence
• Flow meter and flow control devices
• Fluid / solid / particle erosion or corrosion
• Fluid permeation or diffusion
• Pump, valve, actuator, fittings
• Fluid and material contamination and degradation
• Noise and cavitation
• Endurance, performance and reliability
• Pipe and insulation thermal performance
• High pressure component
• Seal and sealing system integrity or leakage
• Surface coatings and surface roughness effects
• Internal fluid pressure and mechanical fatigue
• Proof / burst pressure
