Water and Wastewater Pumping Stations

Technical Scope

Energy costs continue to rise; engineers, designers, consultants, contractors and users of pumping stations are all under pressure to reduce energy consumption. These challenges, together with international energy conservation policies, climate change, H2S release and recent flooding all highlight the dependence upon pumping station performance.

This conference encourages an integrated approach through sharing ideas, products and techniques. Papers have been invited that demonstrate the interaction of some or all of the following aspects:

  • Capital programme evaluation
  • Project definition delivery
  • Business case drivers (CAPEX and OPEX)
  • Station layout and plant operations
  • Integrated system design
  • Control optimisation
  • Maintaining service during reconstruction

Delegates at a seminarConference discussion sessions

In addition to the presentation sessions, the Committee are planning two discussion sessions during the Conference: CFD/Modelling on June 17th and Ragging on June 18th.

Each session will be lead by an expert moderator and will be initiated by a paper on the topic. Delegates are encouraged to contribute to the Workshops, either through the offer of a brief input in advance of the session or through their participation in the discussions themselves.
